PAHIATUA
PAHIATUA, April 5. Stewards of the Pahiatua Racing Club met on Tuesday night, Mr H. McSherry presiding. Prices for admission were fixed at the same charges as last year. It was decided to apply for Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9 and 10, 1935, for next year’s fixture. It was decided to dispose of a section of land belonging to the club, situated in the borough. The several officials for the forthcoming race meeting were appointed. Messrs Lloyd, Taylor and Rodney were appointed a committee to inquire the approximate cost to the club with a view to providing free accommodation for horses competing at the meeting. Mrs H. Paterson left to-day for the u aikato. Mrs A. McFarlane, Mrs a.nd Mr E. G. Anstis, of Palmerston North, spent the Easter holidays with Mrs F. Horne, Ballance. Miss Molly Horne,’ of Ballance, has left on a holiday visit to Palmerston North and Foxton. Mr and Mrs A. J. Fainvea.tVer have been spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs Wakeman, of Auckland; who has been spending several weeks as the guest of her cousin, Mrs J. D. C. Crewe, Wakeman Street, returned home yesterday. She was accompanied by Mrs Crewe, who will spend about a week in the Queen City. Mrs H. Cornelius, of Mangaliao, is a visitor to Christchurch, where she has been spending a holiday. Mrs A. Wilson, of Sedcole Street, who was a visitor to Te Kuiti, has returned home. Mrs A. F. G. Cornelius, of Pahiatua, intends spending a holiday with friends at Taiha.pe.
