TARIFF COMMISSION.

' Per Press Association. I DUNEDIN, Sept. 18. The Tariff Commission resumed today and heard local evidence in support of the statement presented in the north by the Federation of Master Printers. Mr Walter John Kerr, representing the Iron and Steel Co. of New Zealand, asked on behalf of Mono Containers, Ltd., of London, that containers for cream, honey, jam, etc., continue to be admitted free, and that those of foreign manufacture be subject to a duty of 25 per cent., irrespective of the country of origin. He said the containers were admitted free of duty at present, and importations from other countries were growing.
