RACING IN BRITAIN.

THE DONCASTER CUP. Received September 16, 9.15 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 15. The Doncaster Cup was run to-day and resulted as follows:—Colorado Kid 1, Nitsichin 2. The winner’s margin was four lengths. The race w as a farcical spectacle with only two starters, the horses covering the first mile and a half almost at a walking pace amid the jeers and catcalls of the crowd. Gordon Richards rode Colorado Kid and M. Beary, on Nitsichin, determined not to make the running, took a minute to cover a quarter of a mile. No attempt was made to gallop until approaching the straight. Colorado Kid won bv four lengtlis, the crowd boohing. The time was 6min. 4 1-16 secs, for 21 miles. It was Richards’s fourth successive win for the day, he having won the other races bv a short head, a neck, and a short head respectively. He did not win a place.in the fifth, but won the last by a short head, making 184 wins for the season.
