NAPIER, Aug. 17. In a fast, open Rugby match the Palmerston North High School beat the Napier High School by 16 points to five in the annual fixture for tho Poison Banner.

Tho visitors possessed faster, heavier backs, who excelled in the second spell. The homo backs were weak in handling, hut presented a solid defence. Palmerston North High School was loading by three to nil at half-time, and in the seeoiul spell exploited their backs to better advantage, completely overpowering tho opposition. Tho scorers for Palmerston North High School were MoCorkindalo (2) and Fletcher (2). Fletcher converted both his own tries. For Napier High School Butler scored, and Mahoney converted.
