(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Feb. 10.
The monthly sitting of tho Magistrate’s Court was held on Thursday morning before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M.
On Wednesday afternoon Mattar and his rink continued their defence of the Awahou Feathers trophies, when a rink from Levin, were decisively beaten in a challenge /natch. The rinks and scores were as follow: —Holders: Eruera, Robinson, Christie, Mattar (skip) 20; Challengers: Mackey, Capper, Challiets, Cameron (skip) 9.
The team to represent the Foxton Surf and Life-saving Club in the New Zealand Surf Championships is as follows:—G. K. Shaw (capt.), V. F. Moore, M. G. Baird, J. D. McTanney, L. J. Thompson, S. V. Bills, W. F. Hussey, J. K. Martin.
