Ashley-Temukanui Road Main Drain right bank of Alain Drain: This floodgate was in a bad state and a full pipe of water was leaking back during the last flood. Pipes were removed and replaced on a solid foundation 2 feet lower than previously. New parapets and an apron have been erected. The filling in of the stopbank is being carried out as the new concrete allows. Campbell’s Drain: A hole has developed in the centre of the stopbank at- Campbell’s Drain floodgate, and I will examine this and effect repairs to the floodgate, if necessary, before taking the plant away from that area.
