DAHLIA DISPLAY.

LOCAL EXHIBITORS’ SUCCESS. Alessrs A. J. Shailer and Son, of Palmerston North, were very successful exhibitors in the dahlia section of the Hutt Valiev flower show yesterday. They exhibited the champion bloom, r* “Shahrazad,” won the Riddiford Silver Cup, the Royal Horticultural Society’s certificate for a seedling and won outright the Simpson Trophy for the open section. In the latter section, the Palmerston North exhibitors won the groups for the collection of 18 dahlias, six decorative, two vases of charm dahlias and one seedling dahlia.
