MR CHURCHILL’S WARNING.

GERMAN SINCERITY QUESTIONED. Received November 24, 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 23. Mr Winston Churchill, referring to the disarmament Conference in the House of Commons, said: “Though we desired to live on good terms with Germany it should be remembered that every post-war concession to Germany has been followed by a fresh demand. “Do not let the Government delude itself that Germany is merely seeking equality of status. All the marching bands of Germany’s youth are wanting weapons and when they get them they will seek restoration of her territories and colonies, which would -shako France and her associates to their foundations. “We, with our wide Imperial burdens, ought to be careful not to meddle imprudently in the European structure or we might bring about the catastrophe everyone desires to avert.”
