Tho best effort of tho morning over fivo furlongs was credited to Echo Song, who beat Marching Song by several lengths. She ran the first two furlongs in 25 l-ssecs., and tho full distance in 1.2 2-5. Marching Song also worked well, but lost several lengths through stumbling at the start. Gay Cockade, ridden by R. Mcßae, who will be on him in tho Alison Cup, traversed a round in 2.7 2-5, the last seven furlongs in 1.33 4-5, and tho final six in 1.21.

Psychologist was sent over a mile, tho first threo furlongs taking 40 3-s,secs, and he finished in 1.50 2-5. Ho could have done better.

On tho tan, Royal Gallant was timed to run tho last three furlongs in 39 2-ssecs., hitting out freely. Imainint, after beginning slowly, ran fivo furlongs in 1.5 4-5, the last half milo in 52 l-ssec.

Bugle Call and Princess Star, who had the worst of tho weights, finished together at tho end of five furlongs in 1.4 4-5. They could have improved slightly on tho time. C'oronis and Gay Marigold were sent half a mile, trayersing the distanco tho best of the morning. They finished together. Reviver begun a length in front of Prolyxo and High Comedy at the five furlong post. After going three the other pair went through, High Comedy finishing just in front of Prolyxo in 1.2.
