PAHIATUA, Nov. 23. Considering the difficult times, the annual sale of work in aid of St. Peter’s Church funds, yesterday, was quito successful upon which the energetic Ladieß’ Guild is to be complimented. Competitions were won as follow:—Bean Board: Mrs J. D. C. Crewe Mrs Graham and Miss Arrow; naildriving, Mrs Burrell; ninepins, Miss Enid Taylor and Messrs, Siddells, D. Crewo and A White. Those in charge of competitions included Mrs R. Walker (nail-driving), Mrs Graham (bean board), Messrs Tattle and Haines (ninepins), and Messrs A. Wil6on and Irving (hoopla). A cleverly acted nlav entitled “Aunt Lizzie's Friend,’ proved entertainment. Tho characters were taken bv Misses N. Irving, G. Austin, C. Wallis N Graham, F. and R. Hinds, M. rnnn and E. Chatwin.
