JUMBLE AUCTION SALE.

Tho Central Relief Committee has been granted the free use of a shed at the Showgrounds and will hold a monster auction sale therein on Thursday next, commencing at 11 a.m. Donations of anything at all which can be converted into money will be thankfully received. A depot has been opened in King Street, opposite Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame Ltd., and parcels and goods can be left thero anytime up to Wednesday afternoon. Arrangements are being; finalised for a canvass of every household on Wednesday morning next between 7 and 8 o’clock. Upwards of 100 cars will take part in this rapid “drive” and householders arc asked to leave their contribution at the front of their houses to facilitate collection. Fruit, vegetables, furniture, clothing, tools are somo of the lines which will bo saleable; any motor cars, traction engines, and the like will be called for later in tho day. For the convenience of buyers a ladies’ committee will provide refreshment in the Show building. Farmers are invited to deliver any livo stock they can spare to the Showgrounds by 10 o’clock on morning of the sale. It is hoped to raise at least £SOO from this sale and everybody is asked to contribute something to the sale.
