SWIMMER’S SUCCESS

MISS 1\ SPORLE’S CERTIFICATES. During the progress of the annual meeting of the Manawatn Centre of tho New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association last evening. In Palmerston North, the president (Mr A. I). Campbell) presented to Mr 0. Sporle four certificates which his daughter, Miss Patty Sporle, had won (lining the past two seasons. He congratulated Mr Sporle on his daughter’s success and expressed the lio|x* that she would achieve further distinction. The certificates presented to Mr Sikj r 1 c were as follow:—lntermediate 100 yards New Zealand championship, s.t Wellington, on January 22, 1932 (time, Jin in. 11 4-ssec.); 1(10 yards (schools division) at Ashburton. on January 30, 1931 (time, 1 min. 15 2-5 sec.), which was a record ; 100 yards intermediate girls’ Now Zealand championship, at Ashburton, on January 22, 1932 (time, Imin. II 4-ssoc.); 50 yards’ junior girls’ championship, at Wellington, on January 31, 1931 (time, 33sec). Mr Sporle suitably acknowledged the receipt of the awards.
