AIR MAILS.

SERVICE IN SOUTH ISLAND. Per Press Association. HOKITIKA, Sept. 28. The first air mail from Hokitika to Okuru left Hokitika at 7 a.m., carrying 1483 letters and packets. It arrived at Waiho at 7.50, leaving at 9.6 and arriving at Okuru at 10.5. Beautiful weather prevailed. The mail returns to-morrow morning.
