BUNNYTHORPE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUNNYTHORPE, Sept. 16. The Football Club held a most successful dance in tho Public Hall on W ednesday night to bring the season to a close. There was a very targe attendance, visitors from clubs at Palmerston North, Eeilding and W’oodvillo being present. The duties of M.C. were ably carried out by Mr J. Baker. The committee, with their assistant secretary, Mr G. Duthic, are to be complimented on the success of the gathering, and thanks are due to the ladies who rendered assistance with the supper. A euchre tournament for non-dancers resulted in Mrs Sinclair winning the ladies’ prize and Mr R. Grant the gentlemen’s prize. Consolation prizes were won by Mrs Guy ami Mr White. A spot dance was won by Miss Cheetham and Mr Tozer, and a Monte Carlo dance by Miss Newth and partner. During the evening Mr Edward Clevely presented the prizes, and conveyed to the W’ooclville representatives present their congratulations on winning the junior competition.
