PRICE OF SUGAR.
REDUCTION IN AUSTRALIA
Received September 14, 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 14. The retail price of sugar will be reduced by id per pound front January 1 next. Information has been received by Mr J. A. Lyons, the Prime Minister, that the Australian Sugar Producers’ Association and the Queensland Cane Growers’ Council have ratified the proposals made at a conference early this month.
