WOOL PRICES ADVANCE.
SALE AT BRISBANE.
RATES HIGHER THAN AT SYDNEY.
BRISBANE, Sept. 13. The wool sales opened to-day with a medium to good, selection. The wool was somewhat finer than last year.
Competition was spirited from the outset. Continental sections operating freely. Prices were o to 10 per cent, higher than at the Sydney sale and 30 per cent, above tho Brisbane June rates.
Ordinary sorts of fleece and pieces showed the greatest advance. A total of 11,234 bales was sold at auction.
