BAND CONTEST.

NEXT YEAR AT DUNEDIN,

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 9. Next year’s championship band contest will be held at Dunedin about the end of February. Mr H. D. Bennett, chairman of the New Zealand Brass Bands’ Association, said that the Dunedin authorities had indicated their willingness to run a contest. It was the turn of Christchurch to have the contest, but Christchurch stated that it was unable to undertake all the necessary organisation.
