BETTER RUGBY.
United Register Big Win at Massey Colleges Expense ; Kia Toa Find Feilding Troublesome; Small Scoring Game ; Feilding Old Boys Carry Day Over Palmerston North Old Boys ; Surprise in Juniors ; Bunnythorpe Suffer Defeat.
The outcome of to-day’s senior Rugby competitions did not produce anything in the nature of a surprise, United, Kia Toa and Feilding Old Boys all projving successful. United showed improved form in beating Massey College, but the game between Kia Toa and Feilding was productive of hard slogging forward play. The meeting of the two Old Boys teams at Feilding failed to furnish the onlookers with the bright football of past encounters between these two teams. The surprise of the day was in the junior grade when Bunnythorpe, who last week halted the winning career of Old Boys, were beaten in turn by the little fancied St. Patrick’s. POSITION OF. TEAMS. UNITED ... ... 14 KIA TOA ... 13 FEILDING OLD BOYS ... ... 10 OLD BOYS ... ... ... 7 FEILDING ... ... 6 MASSEY COLLEGE 4
