MATTER OF SPECULATION. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, April 17.

The length of the session remains a matter of speculation, as it is still uncertain whether the Government will introduce its taxation legislation before the Houso rises. “That would be a good shot, said Mr Forbes this afternoon, when the “Standard’s” representative suggested that the session would be completed by April 27. The Prime Minister added that -urgency would be applied for in connection with the Railway Bill to-day.
