Mixed with an equal quantity of lime water, olive oil makes a soothing application for a burn. A little of this mixture should always be kept handy. Silver will not tarnish in storage if a thin film’ of olive oil is smeared over it. When the silver is required for use, wash in a warm, soapy lather, and dry thoroughly. Olive oil is an excellent skin food. • Rub a little into the hands and face at bedtime, then wash in the usual way.
