CHURCHES OF CHRIST
Members of tho Campbell Street Church of Christ had tho pleasure of listening to an address by Mr A. L. liaddon, M.A., principal of the College of the Bible, Dunedin last night. Pictures of the new college and its grounds wore screened, showing the very fine building the church had secured. Tho college they had opened four years ago became far too small. Providentially, said Mr Haddon, an offer was mado to them for the purchase of it for a private residence and the new college buildings, improved at a cost of £SOOO, and originally the homo of the late Bishop Neville, wore purchased. Tho students were generally men or women who had been actively- engaged in their own Church work and this enabled them after a short period of time to tako week-end appointments and thus to some extent pay their way through. An appeal for financial assistance during the year met with a good response. Mr T. Bamford presided over tho gathering.
