OBITUARY.

MR A. W. HALL. M.P. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 18. The death occurred at one o’clock this morning of Mr A. W. Hall, Reform member for Hauraki. The deceased gentleman underwent an operation in a private hospital on Thursday. It was erroneously reported that Mr Hall died yesterday afternoon, although at that time he was in a sinking condition. The announcement of his passing was made in the House of Representatives early this morning, and after expressions of sympathy the House adjourned at 1.40 a.m. • As a mark of respect to the deceased legislator the flag on the Palmerston North Post Office was flown at halfmast to-day.
