Bentley lost to F. Patience 5 —9; D. McMurray beat G. Duthie 9—2; C. McAffer beat H. Robson 9—5; L. McDonald beat R. Clark 9—5.
Ladies’ singles.—Miss J. Brown lost to Miss E. Robson o—7; Miss M. Gould lost to Miss AV. Robson o—7; Miss E. Watson lost to Mrs Patience I—7; Miss D. Clarke lost to Miss Godfrey 2—7.
