MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Sept. 11. There was a large attendance of members of the Ohakca Miniature Rifle Club at tho weekly shoot held on the homo range on Monday night, and scoring was good all round, tho B team excelling themselves, and putting on the fine total of 819, out of a nossiblo of 840. B team: K. Bailey, J. Richardson, G. Richardson, A. Stephens, P. Colo and C. Cockburn. GENERAL. Mr V. Edhouso is at present confined to his bed and it will probably be a week or two before lie regains his usual health. Mr E. Stanway, who was badly bruised
while riding- at the .Alarton races, was able lo leave hospital on Monday, and will be seen in tile saddle at Wanganui this week. Tuesday was “pig day” in Bulls, but only about 100 pigs were “sent to market;.” Those fetched good prices consuloring their condition, for better pigs ha%e been eeen here before. A good number of amateur fishermen have been trying their luck with the whitebait, in the Bower Rangiti|<ei, but the river has been discoloured, and the only catches have been made in the drains. RANGITIKEI GOLF CLUB. A visit is expected from Seafield (Wanganui) Club on Saturday, and tho following have been selected lo represent Rangitikei:—Law, Carter, Signal. J. S. Tricker, Cooper, Hendry, A. K. Drew, Daniell, Anion, Bertram, S. Goebel, Mansell, Purcell, Jno. Tricker, Dalrymple and Mitchell. Play commences at 1 p.m.
