WILLARD HOME CONCERT.
OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT. This evening’s concert in aid of the Willard House funds will doubtless attract a large audience to tho Opera House. The local artists who have so kindly offered their assistance will provide a fine programme of a varied nature. Miss Doreen Saunders will make her first appearance in Palmerston North as an elocutionist, and brings with her the highest opinion from the judge at the Auckland competitions. The Palmerston North Orpheus Society will render part songs and other items, their choir at present having reached a high standard, and their numbers will add considerably to the evening’s enjoyment. Songs will be contributed such well-known artists as Mesdames £. J. Leydon, Dean, C. Finlay, C. McLaughlin and Mewton and Mr R. B. Ross. The Junior Orchestra also is assisting, and Messrs. C. Bell and R. H. F. Graco will provide xylophone items and a mystery demonstration respectively. Sweets will be on sale, the proceeds to go towards the funds. Seats, may be reserved at the Central Booking Office.
