TEPID BATHS
QUESTION AGAIN RAISED. The question of tepid baths being erected in Palmerston North was before the executive of the Alanawatu Sub-Centre of the Royal Life Saving Society, last evening, and it was decided to write to the Borough Council urging them to proceed with the* conversion of the municipal baths. The matter was raised by Air F. T. \ asey who asked what the position was. The chairman (Air AY. C. Collier) stated that, when a deputation had waited upon the Borough Council they had been informed that the matter would be referred to the incoming council for favourable consideration. That was some months ago and nothing had yet been done. The work of converting the municipal batlis should be completed before the swimming season commenced so that they would be ready for the next winter. Air Vasey moved, and Air B. A. Brown seconded, the following resolution which was carried unanimously: That the Borough Council be reminded of the promise that the incoming council Would deal favourably with the matter of tepid baths, and that the council be now urged to proceed with the work without further delay.
