RESCUED AIRMEN.

GREAT RECEPTION AT MADRID. ENGLISH OFFICERS EMBRACED. (British Official Wireless.) Received July 5, 12.50 p.m. RUGBY, July 4. A- public reception was accorded at Madrid to-day to Captain Lawrence and the other officers of the aircraft carrier Eagle and to the Spanish airmen they rescued. The reception was embarrassingly fervid. Wild with enthusiasm, the crowds broke through the police and the officers were embraced and showered with bouquets. The Spanish officers linked arms in order to protect the Englishmen from these attentions until the shelter of an hotel was reached. The rescued airmen and the officers of the Eagle will take luncheon with the Queen of Spain to-morrow.
