FRIESIAN CATTLE.
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 5. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Friesian Association Mr Marchant, the chairman, stated that the total membership was 703. He asserted that the Friesian breed still maintained a lead over all other breeds in butter-fat production. The balance-sheet showed a loss of £B7O, but £250 of this was accounted for by the Easter holidays beginning before the end of the financial year. Officers were elected as follow:—President, Mr H. J. Marchant; vice-pre-sidents, Major "Wilson and Mr E. M. North; members of the council, Messrs Banks, Eades and Royds and Major Wilson; auditor, Mr Revell.
