Hon. \V. B. Madeley, Minister of Posts and Telegraphs, failed to respond to the invitation to resign. At 11 a.m. Cabinet resigned and was re-sworn at 3 p.m., Mr H. W. Sampson replacing Mr Madeley. Mr Sampson for 25 years was President of the Typographical Union. He is a supporter of Colonel Creswell, Minister of Defence.
