FRENCH CRISIS.
M. CAILLAUX ABUSED,
(Australian Press Association). Received November 7, 2.5 p.m. PARIS,; Nov. 6.
The Chamber of Deputies met despite the absence of the Government and, after eulogy of M. Bokanowsky, who was killed in a recent accident,. Adjourned until Thursday next.
Angry sentiments were expressed against the Radical-Socialists, a minority of whom is held blameable. The newspaper Temps states that the country’s stupefaction will be changed to anger if the camp results in a return to power of M. Caillaux, one of the bitterest critics of M. Poincare.
The Liberte openly abuses M. Caillaux and asks: “Have we fallen into anarchy?” It is generally believed that the crisis will last for a few days, after which M. Poincare will be entrusted with the formation of a new Cabinet and will carry on with a. diminished, but adequate, majority, made up of Socialist Deputies who disagreed with the Congress decision.
