AIR PORT.
FIRST AT MANCHESTER
GREAT NATURAL AERODROME
(Australian Press Association.) Received November 7, 6.50 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 6. The Air Ministry has sanctioned the establishment of Britain’s first municipal air port. This will be at Manchester and an expanse of 260 acres seven miles from the city will be used. It is described as one of the best natural aerodromes in the country. The Lord Mayor of Manchester declared to-day: “We want a direct service to tho Continent, and we won’t be .satisfied with linking up with Croydon.” i
