D. Stanley, for eight years its secretary, ; were recognised at the meeting of the council of the association last week by the presentation of an illuminated address. In his address at the meeting of the Rotary Club yesterday Mr M. Cohen, who recently returned from a visit to i, Hawaii, stated that Mr Norman Nash. ! the eldest son of Mr N. H. Nash, of | Palmerston North, held a very important position in the huge Dole pineapple factory at Honolulu, and he had boon ||informed that Mr Nash is bo highly of that he would go a long joy ay with the company. Major Suiter, at present editor of the Salvation Army War Cry, has been V appointed chancellor at the Central '• North Divisional Headquarters of the f Salvation Army at Palmerston North ' and will take up his new duties in about' three _ weeks. Staff-Captain Charker, who is at present occupying the latter position, has received notice of transfer to the trade department, Wellington, as chief assistant to Colonel Kirk, •
