’ STATEMENT AT BREWERS’ SOCIETY MEETING.
Received November 30, 8.20 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 29. “Beer drinkers pay £84,000,000 yearly, a burden that demands relief,” said Colonel Winch, chairman of the Brewers’ Society, regarding the farmers’ effort to secure an import duty on malting barley.
