PENALTY FOR CRIME.

HAMILTON SUPREME COURT. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Nov. 30. In the Supreme Court this morning His Honour Mr Justice Herdman sentenced Oscar Shokore, a farmer, of Wardville, who pleaded guilty to three serious charges, to two years’ imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to be cumulative. A fine of £IOO was imposed on John Blair, aged 19, who was found guilty of negligent driving and thereby causing the deaths of Walter Reynolds and John Warden in a collision at Hill Crest on October 15. Accused was also debarred from holding a driver’s license for three years.
