TIN SUPPLIES.

STATEMENT IN COMMONS,

LONDON, Nov. 28. Captain D. H. Hacking informed a questioner, in the House of Commons, that he was aware that some authorities feared a prospective world shortage of tin. The speaker was following closely discussions on the possibility of stabilising prices. He did not think a scientific inquiry by the Government into the possibility of conserving the Empire’s tin resources was at present advantageous.—A. and N.Z. cable.
