LIVE WIRE.

SHEEP BADLY BURNED.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Nov. 29.

Yesterday morning when the gale had almost subsided Mr C. Robinson was droving a mob of sheep along Lady’s Milo when two of the animals suddenly collapsed. On investigating it was discovered that a live wire was down with which tho sheep had come in contact. The sheep dog which wont to urge the prostrate animals on was badly burned on the foreleg. Tlie sheep recovered after a while and were able to proceed with the flock. Tho other end of the wire had come in contact with Mrs Walker’s telephone wire, but she was apprised -of the fact and the telephone was not touched until after the Power Board gang had repaired tho break.
