OIL FROM COAL.
PURCHASE OF RIGHTS
PLANT FOR NEW SOUTH WALES.
Received November 28, 9.45 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 27. Mr A. E. Brove, after six months’ investigations in Germany into the extraction of oil from coal, says that ho has purchased the rights of the lurgi system of extraction from shale at a price enabling it to compete with well oil. He adds that he is ordering a plant for delivery in March to operate tho deposits in Newnes, New South Wales.—A. and N.Z. cable.
