ACTIVITY IN AMERICA. COMMERCIAL LANDING FIELDS. POLICY OF PRESIDENT. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received July 27, 10.55 a.m. NEW YORK, July 26. President Coolidge intends Jo pursue a policy, of encouraging in every city and town in the United States the establishment of its own air port. The President has issued orders to the Commerce Department and the Aviation Board to assist in promoting in every possible way the creation of suitable commercial landing fields. President Coolidge holds the view that the Federal Government cannot appropriate funds for such fi e lds, but it will leave their establishment to the localities, while the Federal Government devotes itself to the general promotion of aviation. —A. and jn.zi. cable. .
