TOKOMARU.

[From Our Own Correspondent.] At a meeting of tho vestry of St. Aidan’s Church, hold on Thursday evening, there were present: Rev. J. Farnell Mr J. R. Whyte (vicar’s churchwarden), Mr Parr (people’s churchwarden), Mcedames J. R. Whyte and J. Elia, Miss Kelly and Mr J. Ella. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Parr and Trelease, who were unable to attend. The retired members were Messrs W. Hickson and G. Lampard, who have left tho district. Arrangements were made to repair and paint tho church and fence. This work is to be executed by Mr J. Anderson and will be proceeded with at an early date. Members of the vestry are to meet the Shannon members rc o arding the proposal to allocate funds towards the supply of a car for the vicar.
