A claim for £IOOO on the ground of alleged libel will be heard at tire next civil' sittings of the Supreme Court in Christchurch. William Victor Sanvig is the plaintiff and W. B. Mcllveny, Commissioner of Police, is the defendant. Tho alleged libel was a notice in tire Police Gazette.
