SERIES OF ROBBERIES.
ON RIVIERA EXPRESS. GUARD AND ASSISTANT ARRESTED. PARIS, Feb. 2. As a sequel to the long series of mysterious robberies from the “Luxury Express” to the Riviera, the French police arrested a guard named Goinellot and his assistant, Aloury. The latter had in his possession jewellery worth half a million francs. It is stated that the accused admit that they and an accomplice made about £IO,OOO from thefts.—A. and N.Z. cable.
