FEILDING SHOW
CONCLUDING RESULTS. (Special to “Standard.”) FEILDING, Feb. 3. Favoured by fine weather a large crowd of visitors attended the Feilding Show yesterday afternoon, the various ring competitions proving a strong attraction. Mr J. Shaw’s Rita scored a popular-win in the open hunters’ competition, taking with first place Mr L. T. McLean’s valuablo challenge cup which was won last year by Mrs F. B. Vallance and the previous year by Miss A. Rutherford. As an additional attraction to tho ring events a polo match was staged between Feilding A and B teams. After a fast game the A team won by four goals to two. The teams were as follow: —Feilding A: P. Burrell, G. Mcßeth, N. J. Short and W. Stewart. Feilding B: B. Short, J. Old, R. W. McKolvie and W. Scott. Mr M. R. Murphy was umpire. The concluding judging results were as follow: — SADDLE HORSES. lost hack, any age, mare or gelding, Miss J. M. Stewnrt’s Gentleman Jack 1, Mrs F. B. Vallance’s Muritai 2, Mrs S. Pearson 3; champion hack, P. Winge’s Pathfinder. COMPETITIONS. Wire jump.—Miss I. Rutherford’s Kitty Machree 1, Mrs F. B. Vallance’s Muritai 2, Miss Benton’s Roaney 3. Ladies’ hunters’ competition.—Miss M. J. Stewart’s Gentleman Jack 1, Miss I. Rutherford’s Kitty Machree 2, H. S. Rathbone’s Cordite, Mrs A. V. Sutton’s Kimeroa and Miss G. Maher’s Workman, equal, 3. West Coast Champion Hunters’ Competition.—J. Shaw’s Rita 1, A. Mercer’s Gilgai 2, W. Hobson’s Max 3.
