RECORD PRICES PAID
SALES AT SYDNEY. SYDNEY, Feb. 2. Several well-known New South Wales sheepmen paid within the past week record prices for New Zealand Romney Marsh sheep. Mr W. Glasson, of Molong, gave 500 guineas for a four-tooth ram from the stud of Mr Matthews, of Waiorongomai, and paid 155 and 150 guineas for two other rams.
Mr G. N. Magill, of Molong, purchased a number of ewes.
Mr A. S. Carr, of Gcrulburn, paid 600 guineas for a two-tooth ram from the stud of Mr Ernest Short, of Feilding. This animal is described as one of the best in New Zealand.—Press Association.
