HOME LIGHTING.

SPHERE OF THE POAVER BOARD

“Home lighting is one of the things in which every consumer and every board is interested. But we have ail had such a rush of contracts putting in the wiring work that we have not had time to give proper oversight to the capacity or adequacy of the lighting arrangements, and it is therefore quite likely that in the cases of most boards the homes are to a large extent underlit, meaning not an ideal service for the consumer and a loss of business for the board. Here appears to be a matter in which it might be wise and profitable for us to join in the promotion of more and better business.” This was an extract from the annual report presented to the conference of New Zealand power board secretaries and executive officers this morning by the president, -Mr C. Campbell, of Invercargill.
