NORTH ATLANTIC HURRICANES
NEW YORK, Feb. 1
The hurricanes continue to take toll of lives on the North Atlantic. The steamer Avon, which arrived from Bermuda, still had the Bermuda pilot aboard, his pilot’s boat having- been swamped and six oarsmen drowned. It was impossible to get another boat to take him off.—A and N.Z. cable.
