Foxton and Shannon) Levin carried off the honours, with Foxton second, Shannon third. The committee recommended that every encouragement be given towards popularising play on Saturday. The thanks of the club were due to Mesdames Head and Huntley for supervising afternoon tea for Saturday players, and the club was indebted to the members of the ladies’ croquet club for supervising the Wednesday afternoon tea arrangements, and to Mrs Downes for supervising tho purchasing of victuals. The committee regretted the resignation of the secretary, Mr E. Huntley, who had been not only a source of strength to the club in the past two years, but had proved himself an idea! secretary. Tho approaching season gave every promise of being highly successful, and it was hoped that members would do their utmost to uphold the prestige of the club. The committee desired to thank the following members for service rendered during the season; Mr D. Whibley (green superintendent), Messrs A, E. Admore, D. Christie. J. M. Thomson, S. Head.
