HUDSON’S RIFLE FOUND

Per Press Association. OAMARU, July 13. The flood caused the Waitafci river to change its course, and brought to light the rifle associated with the tragedy at \Vharekuri on April 22. when Philip Hudson and Olivo Rutherford lose their lives. The girl was found severely injured on a ledge on a steep cliff, and died the next day. Hudson’s body was found _in the river some time afterwards. Though empty cartridges were picked up at the scene of the tragedy, no trace of a rifle could be found.
