DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
MELBOURNE, July 12. Payne’s boot factory at Collingwood was destroyed by fire, the damage amounting to £30,000. The blaze was accompanied and intensified by a series of loud explosions, caused by petrol stored in the premises for finishing purposes.—Press Association.
