NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
At yesterday’s meeting of the Manawatu A. and P. Association’s general committee it was announced that the Manawatu Boxing Association would stage its try out bouts in the entertainment hall on Tuesday night of show week, 16th June, and this with the wrestling on two nights, nutional dancing one night and tug-of-war one night, will complete a very interesting series of evening show events. Mr M. A. MucLeod, of Aorangi, has kindly consented to act as piper for the dancing. Preparations for the show are speeding up now and entries are commencing to come in. The decision of the committee to allow members to park their cars in the grounds at a charge of 2s 6d per car will be welcomed by many and steps are being taken to make this known amongst the 2000 odd members of the association. Owing to the Te Kawnu-Oroita football match and a prospective “curtain raiser” being fixed for Thursday afternoon, 18th June, the horse events scheduled to commence at 11 a.m. will start at 10 a.m. and continue right on until they are finished, so as to give time to clear the ring for football. Readers are requested lo enter early and get information from the secretary.
