RESULT OF FRENCH BUDGET.
PARIS, May 14. As a result of the Caillaux Budget the price of the oheapeet tobacco has increased 40 per cent ana other brands of pipe tobacco a.nd cigarettes 25 per cent. Cigar prices are unchanged. An immediate rusk of smokero to Bequre supplies, as the higher prices come into force on Saturday, resulted, but the shopkeepers retaliated declaring that their stocks were cleared out. —Reuter.
